Notes: 1. Access to these fields as described below can be obtained by first clicking the Add [No.] new line(s) of data Go link which sits above the table of data (if any) on the Assets - [Energy Type] Consumption page. Alternatively, a single line of data can be edited by clicking the edit link at its right end. 2. There is a Ghost-Over brief description with each field heading. 3. The type of Energy/Utility or Meter, determines which headings actually appear so some may therefore not be visible for a particular choice. Start Date The Start Date for this set of consumption data. With initial data entry, the system sets 1 January 1990 as a default. For Time of Use electricity and reticulated gas connections this starts a block of days (usually a calendar month) for which there is a common tariff after also including further refining definitions which will be entered under Start Time/End Time and Tariff Day - eg - 16:00 to 20:00 on Weekdays. End Date The End Date for this set of consumption data. With initial data entry, the system sets 1 January 1990 as a default. For Time of Use electricity and reticulated gas connections this will end a block of days with a common tariff as described under Start Date above. Start Time This is for Time of Use electricity and reticulated gas connections only. The Start Time is the regular daily time when the required charging period starts and should be entered using 24- hour notation ' eg ' 17:30. End Time This is for Time of Use electricity and reticulated gas connections only. The End Time is the regular daily time when the required charging period ends and should also be entered using 24-hour notation. Tariff Day This is for Time of Use electricity and reticulated gas connections only. Select the appropriate Tariff Day from the drop-down list which can be chosen from: Business Day, Non-Business Day, Weekday, Weekend according to the way different TOU tariffs are actually charged. Reading This is for electricity and reticulated gas meter readings only. Select the appropriate Reading Type from the drop-down list which can be chosen as Actual, Customer, Estimated or Final. Tariff This is required here for non-Time of Use electricity connections only. The Tariff can be chosen as: Anytime/24 hour, Controlled, Day, Night etc. to best describe the type of charges applicable to this consumption. Consumption (kWh) The amount of energy consumed during the specified period in kilowatt-hours. For energy sources other than electricity, this field may be left blank, and then, once there is an appropriate quantity entry in the following field (described immediately below), the system will automatically calculate the energy consumption in kilowatt-hours. However, if a direct kWh figure is known and preferred, it may be directly entered and this will over-ride the system's calculation. Litres / GJ / kg The quantity of fuel consumed where the appropriate measuring unit will have been already specified according to the energy source - e.g. Litres of diesel, GJ (Gigajoules) of gas, kg (kilograms) of coal, etc. The consumption figure in kWh will be back-calculated from this input unless it has been already entered directly (see immediately above). Note: If one of these non-kWh entries is subsequently amended, the corresponding back-calculated kWh figure must also be deleted before saving the change, otherwise it will not be updated. KVA This is for Time of Use metered electricity only and is optional. It is the maximum KVA reading during this block of consumption. Note: there is another reference to KVA in Appendix L which is more relevant to Invoices. | |
