Appendix H - Construction Attributes |
|
The actual fields listed on the Assets - [Facility Name] Attributes screen for any particular
Entity, vary according to the Purpose which has been specified. Because of this, the entire
list is given below in alphabetical order rather than the order of headings on an actual page.
Furthermore, all fields marked with the double asterisk - ie [Attribute Name]**, must be
completed if benchmark figures are to be calculated. Should any of these fields be left blank,
then no benchmarks can be provided. Those marked with a single asterisk - ie [Attribute
Name]*, are fields for which an entry is desirable for better accuracy but not essential.
Unmarked headings are either seeking general background information, or data which may
be required for some envisaged future reports.
Air Gap*
Tick the box if the ceiling of this entity includes an air gap. For example, there may be an air
gap due to a hanging ceiling or due to a loft between the ceiling and the roof
Ceiling Area**
The area of the ceiling of the entity. If multi storied, applies to top level only (square metres)
Ceiling Insulation
The insulation present in this ceiling (if any)
Ceiling Insulation Thickness
The thickness of the insulation, if any (millimetres)
Ceiling Material**
The material of the internal lining of the ceiling
Ceiling Material Thickness**
The thickness of the internal lining of the ceiling, if any (millimetres)
Ceiling Otherside Temperature*
Internal Ceilings only - ie not the ceiling just below the roof. The temperature on the other side
of this ceiling, if different from the entity's internal temperature (degrees celsius).
Exposure**
The level of exposure of the Entity to sunlight and prevailing winds. This should be assessed
as at the time of the equinox (late March or September) to provide a typical annual average
indication
Floor Area**
The area of the floor of this entity. If multi-storeyed, applies to bottom level only (square
metres)
Floor Construction**
The type of construction of this floor. If constructed as a pad with ground contact, the
below/level/above ground refers to the top of the pad
Floor External Material**
The material that is the external component of the floor construction. May relate to the ceiling
of the level below if this is not the bottom floor of a building.
Floor External Thickness**
Thickness of any external component of the floor construction. Leave blank if the floor is
against the ground. May relate to the ceiling of the level below if this is not the bottom floor of
a building. (millimetres)
Floor Internal Material**
The composition of the internal lining material for this floor
Floor Internal Thickness**
The thickness of the internal lining of the floor, if any (millimetres)
Floor Insulation Material
The floor insulation material (if any)
Floor Insulation Thickness
The thickness of the floor insulation, if any (millimetres)
Floor Otherside Temperature*
Internal Floors only - ie not the bottom floor. The temperature on the other side of this floor, if
different from the entity's internal temperature (degrees celsius).
Floor Structural Material**
The structural material which forms the main body of the floor.
Floor Structural Thickness**
Thickness of the main body of the floor. For example, the thickness of the concrete pad.
(millimetres)
Glass Type
The type of glass/construction for these windows. If you have more than one type, you can
create a new entry by pressing the button: Add another window configuration.
Internal Ceiling**
Tick the box if the ceiling of this entity is an internal ceiling below another floor and is hence
not the topmost ceiling with the roof immediately above it
Internal Wall**
Tick the box if this wall is the boundary of this entity and it is an internal wall within the
building
Material Thickness**
Thickness of the main material of the pool's construction. For example the thickness of the
concrete pad (millimetres).
Orientation**
The direction of likely greatest heat gain or loss. When the entity has one side with the most
external glazing, choose its facing direction, otherwise choose 'Other'
Pool External Material**
The material that immediately surrounds the pool envelope
Pool Lining Material**
The pool's internal lining material
Pool Lining Thickness**
Thickness of the internal lining material of the pool's construction (millimetres)
Pool Structural Material**
The main material of the pool's construction
Recessed Area**
The total area of the pool's exterior face which is below ground level (square metres)
Record End
The date this construction record ends. It could end as a result of the Facility or Entity being
closed, or refurbished. If the Record is replaced by another one, this date is automatically set
as the day before the chosen new Record Start date.
Record Start**
The starting date for this construction record. It could be the date the entity was built, or the
date of the latest refurbishment.
Roof Colour
The colour of the roof
Roof External Area**
The area of the external face(s) of the roof (square metres). Note that the external area of a
pitched roof will be greater than for an equivalent flat roof
Roof Material**
The external material of this roof
Roof Material Thickness**
Thickness of the external material of this roof (millimetres)
Roof Insulation**
The insulation present in this roof construction, if any and known
Roof Insulation Thickness**
The thickness of any known roof insulation (millimetres)
Roof Structural Material**
The structural material which forms the main body of either the roof or the floor above an
internal ceiling
Roof Structural Thickness**
Thickness of the main structural material which forms the main body of the roof or of the floor
above an internal ceiling (millimetres)
Storeys
The number of storeys (including underground/basement space) if this is used for normal
purposes but excluding void spaces such as attics
Wall Area**
Total external wall area for this entity, excluding windows and window frames (square metres)
Wall Internal Material**
The composition of the internal wall lining
Wall Insulation
The type of insulation in this wall construction (if known)
Wall Insulation Thickness
The thickness of the insulation, if any (millimetres)
Wall External Material**
The composition of the external wall lining
Wall External Thickness
The thickness of the external wall lining, if any (millimetres)
Wall Internal Thickness**
The thickness of the internal wall-lining material (if any). For example, Gib-board is usually 10
or 12 mm (millimetres)
Wall Loadbearing Material**
The composition of the loadbearing wall components
Wall Loadbearing Thickness**
Thickness of the loadbearing component of the wall construction, for example the thickness of
the concrete blocks or wooden studs (millimetres)
Wall Otherside Temperature*
Internal Walls only. The temperature on the other side of this wall, if different from the entity's
internal temperature. If left blank, the temperature will be assumed to be the operating
temperature of this entity. (degrees celsius)
Window Area**
The total area of these windows, including the frames (square metres)
Window Frames
The type of frames for these windows. If you have more than one type, you can create a new
entry by pressing the button: Add another window configuration
