Appendix I - Meter Configuration & Energy/Utility
Maps Meter Configuration

Start Date
The effective date for this Configuration. Be sure to click Save Changes after entry before proceeding to the lower box.

End Date
The date this Configuration ended. This is automatically completed when a new Configuration is created for this Meter.

Entity
Choose from the dropdown list the Entity or Entities you want to link to this meter. The list shows only those which are on the same Site as the Meter.

Percentage (%)
Assign a Percentage (between 0% and 100%) of the energy passing through this Meter that goes to this specific Entity. After making any entries under the Entity or Percentage headings, be sure to click Save Changes in that box.

Remarks
This space enables you to record comments about why that percentage was chosen or adjusted.

Energy/Utility Maps
An Energy/Utility Map is created by the system to show how the various Meter Configurations and Entities are inter-related for a particular Site. These can be relatively simple when each Entity has its own Supply Meter or Sub-Meter.

However, where the Energy or Utility supply to more than one Entity on a Site is fed through the same meter, in the absence of any sub-metering, there will be a need to apportion the energy accordingly by allocating Entity percentages in that Meter's Configuration. Using comparative floor areas is suggested unless there is specific information which would allow a more accurate assessment. If there is some difficulty in achieving a satisfactory estimate, the cost of sub-metering could prove to be justified in the interests of improved accuracy, especially if the amounts of Consumption involved are quite large.
