Consumption
Special Note: If the Invoices procedures are being used to check invoices for each billing
period, then the relevant Consumption data will be loaded automatically at the same time.
Hence, some of the following steps would be unnecessary.
Add First Consumption Data
Point to the Quick Tab Asset Details link and in the drop-down menu click the Meters List link.
Click the Consumption link of the required Meter. As this is the first time data is to be
entered, a message will advise that no consumption data matched your Search because on
entering this page, the Search has default settings covering the latest six complete months,
or, for Time of Use Meters, the latest two months. In the Add box provided, put the number of
lines of new consumption data you want to add and click the Go link. Then follow the relevant
instructions immediately below.
Add New Consumption Data
Point to the Quick Tab Asset Details link and in the drop-down menu click the Meters List link.
Click the Consumption link of the required Meter. In the Add box provided put the number of
lines of new consumption data you want to add and click the Go link. Then complete the
information fields for each line, referring to Appendix E if necessary, and click the Save
Changes link when all data entries are completed.
Delete Consumption Data
Note: For any line of data which has been automatically entered by your supplier, then the
delete link mentioned below will not be available. This is to prevent accidental corruption of
the data.
Point to the Quick Tab Asset Details link and in the drop-down menu click the Meters List link.
Click the Consumption link of the required Meter. If required, use Search to display the data
you intend to delete. Click on the delete link at the right end of the required line and a pop-up
box will ask you to confirm your intentions. If you have made a mistake, click Cancel,
otherwise clicking OK will complete the action.
Edit Existing Consumption Data
Note: For any line of data which has been automatically entered by your supplier, then the
edit link mentioned below will not be available. This is to prevent accidental corruption of the
data.
Point to the Quick Tab Asset Details link and in the drop-down menu click the Meters List link.
Click the Consumption link of the required Meter. If required, use Search to display the data
which requires editing. Clicking on the edit link at the right end of the row you wish to edit will
bring up editing boxes for that line. (If the editing involves changes to non-kWh quantities
consumed, be sure to follow the advice in Appendix E under the heading Litres / GJ / kg as a
note, with respect to updating back-calculated kWh values.) Change the information fields as
necessary and then click the Save Changes link.
View Consumption Records
Point to the Quick Tab Asset Details link and in the drop-down menu click the Meters List link.
Click the Consumption link of the required Meter. The Search has default settings which
produce a list covering the latest six complete months, or, for Time of Use Meters, the latest
two months. If required, use Search again to display the data you intend to view.
Below the Search box and above the list itself, there is a dark blue block with the Results per
Page heading in the upper left hand corner. Just beside the heading, a display setting can be
chosen by clicking one of the available numbers between 5 and 100. (Default setting is 20.)
Immediately below that, the system shows the range of results displayed out of the total
number. On the lower right hand corner of the block, there is scope to scroll between pages
or choose a particular page number.
View Entity Consumption (Summary)
Click the Quick Tab Status Summary and on that menu page click the Entity Consumption
Graph and Data link. Choose your [Entity Name] from the box, the Aggregation and the
Period to: end date. Daily aggregation will show the last 60 days while Monthly aggregation
will show the last 36 months. On completing these choices, click the Create Graph and the
graph and table will appear. If you then want to view a different Entity, Aggregation, or
Period, just make new selections in the boxes at the top and clicking the Create Graph button
will produce the new result.
View Meter Consumption (Summary)
Click the Quick Tab Status Summary and on that menu page click the Meter Consumption
Graph and Data link. Choose your Meter from the Local ID box, the Aggregation and the
Period to: end date. Daily aggregation will show the last 60 days while Monthly aggregation
will show the last 36 months. On completing these choices, click the Create Graph button and
the graph and table will appear. If you then want to view a different Meter, Aggregation, or
Period, just make new selections in the boxes at the top and clicking the Create Graph button
will produce the new result.
